An event for those with green fingers (or enthusiastic novices alike!). On March 2nd there will be a community tree planting and wellness event at Lotties Farm, Wheal Vor. It's being organised by UEARTH® 2050 a pioneering project of The Vayyu Foundation, a practical, and non-profit charitable initiative based in the United Kingdom. The aim is to plant 900 trees!
This is a free environmental volunteer session alongside Lotties Environmental & Agriculture Project, with the expertise of Plant One Cornwall where you will be planting lots of trees, getting expert training and combining it with mental health and wellness practices. It is open for the entire community although it is advised no children under the age of 3 attend. Equipment and refreshments will be provided. It's been so wet lately that anyone wanting to come along would need to arrange transport as parking on the field will be a no no! - Wellies advised!
We're glad to see such events happening with the Parish of Breage and are keeping an eye out for any more such events in the future!
